Tik Tok, who was pulled from the Indian Google App Store last week to comply with a request from the government to stop child security downloads, is permitted to revert to the App Store.

The Southern State of Tamil Nadu requested the Indian government to ban the TikTok application because it promoted pornography and was able to expose the children to sexual predators, and the Government sent Apple and Google a letter requesting that companies remove the application from their respective App Stores.

Today, the State Court reversed its decision to push a ban on the App following a plea from the app's creator Bytedance. A government official from Indian Reuters said he was going to ask Apple and Google to reinstate the app once the court order had been received.

Creating by China's Bytedance technology, TikTok is designed to allow users to create and share short form videos that have been particularly successful in India and that have been improved with digital effects. TikTok was downloaded more than 240 million times in the country before being pulled from the App Store.

Bytedance said Indian officials lose up to $500,000 a day during the ban, and over 250 jobs are at risk.
